Dell E-Series Notebook
Dell is planning to launch new e series laptop with Intel Diamondville CPU to compete with asus eee pc and MSI wind. Dell E series laptop will have an 8. to 10 inch (1,024×600) screen size, a 1.6GHz Inte Diamondville CPU (Atom processor), and have either a 8, 16GB SSD or 40 GB hard drive. RAM options are 512MB or 1GB, and Windows XP or linux both are supported.
It weigh around 1.0 Kilogram and support wi-fi and wimax connections. Srarting price will be $299 (very attractive).
These laptops from Dell released in September or October (not yet announced). Most important thing is price, entry level dell e laptop price may be $299 ie: Rs. 14000 or Rs. 15000 Indian rupees.
Nintendo’s Wii still champion in Gaming Console
Nintendo’s Wii most popular gaming console still selling many times higher then Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3.

These statistics indicate that total US sales of the Nintendo Wii rounds to 10.2 million and is at par with XBOX’s 10.27 million units.
The survey reports forecasted that console’s sales could reach $23billion for 2008 up from 2007’s $18 billion.

Puma – Latest Laptop Chips from AMD
Puma is AMD’s new chips for mobile laptop platform. It is AMD’s next generation mobile platform.
Core to the “Puma” platform is the introduction of AMD’s next-generation laptop “Griffin” microprocessor. According to AMD , the Griffin will deliver a number of new capabilities to enhance battery life and overall performance of laptops.
The platform includes the AMD’s new upcoming Turion X2 Ultra CPUs and AMD’s RS780M chipset, which is the mobile equivalent of 780G on the desktop. It also include discrete ATI Radeon HD3400 graphics chip along with the onboard one. It is a chipset to deliver powerfully entertaining power-efficient mobility.
AMD is offering three versions of the Puma platform : A collection of the microprocessor, wireless chips to connect to WiFi, and related chips. Following laptop makers will be using Puma chips : Acer , Asus, Dell , Fujitsu Siemens and HP .
AMD Releases Four New Quad-Core Opterons
In latest bid to fight with Intel AMD launched new Quad core Opterons for server market.
AMD introduced its fastest quad-core opteron server chips. Two new AMD Opteron 2.4GHz and two new 2.5GHz parts. The 2.4GHz Opteron 2358 SE is priced at $873 on AMD’s Website, and the 2.5GHz 2360 SE, has a price tag of $1,165. 2.4GHz 8358 SE were priced at $1,865, and the 2.5GHz 8360 SE, which runs a cool $2,149.
In the 2-socket space, we’re talking about the HPC folks, people doing genome-mapping for instance, where they need every last bit of clock speed and performance from each core,” said AMD server chip manager Steve Demski last week.
In the 8-socket space, the demographic is customers doing the really intense number-crunching against those big enterprise databases.
Demski said AMD expects Sun and Hewlett-Packard, who already offer 8-way servers built on previously released quad-core Opterons, to lead the way with new configurations featuring the 8358 SE and 8360 SE devices.
iPhone with 3G in India
iPhone with 3G is being called next generation iPhone. It features faster 3G data downloads and GPS. Also this release of iPhone will have a better battery life.
The new iPhone’s casing is slightly modified, with a thinner edge and thicker middle. Also flush headphone jack and solid-colored back are the other major differences visually from the old iPhone.
It is already released in the US, Canada, the UK, Spain, Japan and Mexico on 11 july 2008. But when it comes to India is not confirmed yet.
It’s GPS is not as smooth a system as a real GPS devices has.If you will use Both 3G and GPS , it will take lot of battery value from this new Iphone and the talktime battery will be less compared to the earlier Iphone with 2G. We will just have to wait when the Airtel will launch it in India . But if you can’t wait that then you can ask your friend or family in U.S. or some other country where it is available to bring one for you.
It will cost in India Rs. 8000 (8GB) and Rs. 12000(16 GB) but you have to pay to the service provider(Airtel) for a service contract with them for around 2 years or so.That is you have to use their network for this contract period.

65nm Intel Processors becomes cheaper
Intel announces price reduction for 65 nm processors ( Q6600,Q6700, E6850, Celeron 430, Xeon X3230) per thousand units. Lets see when we start getting these new priced processor in India.
News.com reports that Intel slashed the price of its Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHz processor from $530 to $266 and the similar quad-core Xeon received the same exact price cut. Intel also cut prices of some of its older technology processors as well. The Celeron 430 dropped from $44 to $34 while the dual-core Celeron E1200 dropped from $53 to $43.
Pentium Dual Core processors also saw prices cut with the E2200 going for $74 after cuts and the E2180 going for $64. Along with the price cuts Intel also introduced a pair of new Celeron processors. The dual-core Celeron E1400 runs at 2GHz and will retail for $53 and a Celeron 570 running at 2.66GHz will sell for $134.
A pair of new Core 2 Duo processors was also introduced with the 2.83 GHz E8300 retailing for $163 and the E7200 running at 2.53GHz costing $133.
